Jandriel Heredia was called the heart of the family and their angel. He died on Sunday after succumbing to his wounds from the previous night's shooting.

The boy with the biggest heart and biggest smile, snatched from us in an instant and so senselessly. He did not deserve this, no one did. We are incredibly heartbroken, we are holding tight to his mother Iverca Cuevas and praying she finds strength to go on after losing her only son. As this was sudden, we are asking for your support to pay for funeral costs so we can give Jandriel the send off he deserves. We are a tight knit family with deep roots in Lynn, we have never experienced a senseless tragedy like this, and we humbly ask for your support. Please also send us all your prayers

Original: The bloody violence in Lynn this weekend continued to take a toll on Sunday, Sept. 3, when a 21-year-old died after he was shot a day before while at a house party.

Jandriel Heredia, of Revere, was one of seven people shot early Saturday morning while they celebrated someone leaving for college, the Essex County District Attorney said.

Abraham Diaz, 25, of Lynn, died Saturday night in the shooting, and another person remains in critical condition. Four others received non-life-threatening wounds in the shooting.

Heredia is the third person to die from gun violence during Labor Day weekend.

A man was shot dead in a car just after 11 p.m. on Lincoln Street, authorities said. Paramedics rushed him to Salem Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Police will not release the man's man until they make the proper notifications.

No one has been arrested in either shooting.

Detectives ask anyone with information about either shooting to contact Lynn police at 781-595-2000.
